Cedars Point Aquila Eyes Birds “Honey”

A young woman with glasses and long blonde hair hugging a small munsterlander, both looking at the camera. The woman is wearing a pink shirt and the dog has a ribbon and medal around its neck from an IABCA conformance test.
A dog holding a bird in its mouth inside a garage with tools and a white door in the background.
A man in outdoor clothing and an orange cap kneels on the ground, holding a hunting shotgun, smiling with a black and white hunting dog sitting beside him. Three quail are laid out on the ground in front of them, with a desert landscape and cloudy sky in the background.
A black and white spotted dog standing in dry grasses on a hillside with sparse desert plants, including cacti, overlooking a vast desert landscape with mountains in the distance under a partly cloudy sky.

Honey is a special dog. She’s quite at home on the couch and chilling with the cat and the kids, but she turns in on in the field. We’ve hunted deer, rabbits, dove, ducks, bob-white quail, gambles quail, scaled quail, mearns quail, pheasants, woodcock, deer (blood tracking) and grouse together.

IntCH Brush Dale’s Vanishing Point “Radar”

A person in a blue shirt standing in a forested area with leafless trees, watching a dog sitting on top of a tall, leaning tree trunk.

Radar lives and hunts the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with his owner Jerry Taylor. I got the privilege while on an expedition to breed Honey to also go Grouse hunting with this exceptional dog. Radar was constantly diving into brush and the thick of the coverts to find Ruffed Grouse in the Forest. Much like Honey he’ll range out, but does a great job of checking in and working for the gun. If only I were a better shot I could have come home with some grouse!
